Moat Island Booking Terms & Conditions

Moat Island Glamping reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions, including prices, at any time without notice. Use of our website and making a booking confirms your acceptance of these terms.

We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask guests to leave for any reason, including inappropriate behaviour, safety risks, or severe weather.

Privacy

Your details may be used for future mailings. You can opt out at any time by emailing info@moatisland.co.uk. We never sell or share your data.

Bookings

Bookings accepted from ages 18+ (21+ for all-adult groups).
We may refuse a booking without reason.
Full payment secures your booking. A 25% deposit is accepted if the balance is paid 30 days before arrival. Failure to pay results in cancellation with no refund of deposit.
The lead booker is responsible for ensuring all party members are aware of these terms and site rules.

Groups & All-Adult Bookings

Hen parties are only accepted for entire site hire bookings and must comply with site rules.

No DJ/loud music allowed. Noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm.
Stag parties are not accepted.
Please contact us before making any group booking.
Entire site bookings are subject to full payment made 3 months prior to arrival date.

Damages & Cleaning

Please report any damage or breakages. Normal wear and tear is accepted; deliberate or significant damage may be charged up to £100.
Extra cleaning beyond normal use is charged at £20 per staff hour. Costs may be deducted from deposits or invoiced after departure.

Accommodation Includes

Accommodation booked, access to communal areas, kitchen, pond, parking, toilets/showers, drinking water, and a wood allowance for stoves.
Excludes: rubbish collection (please sort/dispose in provided bins), washing up, and extra firewood for stoves/fire pits.

Prices

Website prices may change; the price on your booking confirmation is binding.
Discounts cannot be applied after booking.

Cancellations

75% refund for cancellations made 30+ days before arrival.
No refund for cancellations within 30 days or early departure.
Date changes requiring higher charges must be paid at time of change.
All cancellations/changes must be emailed by the booking lead.
Guests are strongly advised to take out holiday insurance.
If we cancel, all payments will be refunded within 14 days.

Lost Property

We are not liable for lost or damaged property. Items found will be held for 3 months before disposal.

Swimming Pond

Use of the natural pond is at your own risk.
Children must be supervised at all times.
The pond is not chemically treated or lifeguarded.
There may not be a member of staff on site at all times. In an emergency call 999.

Liability

Moat Island Glamping accepts no liability for:

Theft, loss, or damage of any kind during your stay.
Equipment faults, supply issues, or closures.
Guests are responsible for losses/damages caused by themselves or their party.
Vehicles are parked at owners’ risk.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for disruption caused by events beyond our control (e.g. extreme weather, strikes, fire, flood, war).

Complaints

Please raise any issues with the site manager during your stay so we can resolve them. Complaints after departure may be harder to investigate. Written complaints can be sent to:

Risks

The site is rural, with farmland, ponds, moats, and woodland. Equipment such as BBQs, stoves, and ranges can be dangerous if misused. Guests stay at their own risk; children must be supervised. We recommend travel insurance.

Day Visitors

Must be approved by the site manager.
Limited to 2 per group unless agreed, and must leave by 8pm.
Day visitors may be charged a fee for facility use.
Pond use is at their own risk.

Legal & Contact

Your contract is with Knights-Smith Limited trading as Moat Island Glamping.
We are not bound by printing errors.
