Bell Tents in Norfolk

Our Lotus Belle Tents

Designed for comfort as much as adventure. Each Lotus Belle tent has a king-size bed plus a double and single futon, with all bedding provided, so a family of five can sleep easily. A quilted liner keeps the tent cosy on cooler nights, and if it really gets chilly, you can light the wood burner.

For bigger groups, or if you prefer to bring your own setup, our Bring Your Own Bed tent sleeps six with ease. All tents come with electricity and lighting, so you can enjoy the simple life without losing the essentials.

Our Bell Tents are available to book from April to October

Loos and Showers

Each tent has a compost toilet nearby, and the main toilet and shower block is only a short walk away.

Shared Kitchen

The large shared Kitchen has a fridge allocated to each tent, and space to eat under cover or outside.

One of the things guests love most about Moat Island is the balance – you’ll feel part of a community, but you can always find privacy when you want it.

What is a Lotus Belle Tent?

A Lotus Belle tent is a luxurious, high-quality bell tent designed for glamping, blending the portability of a bell tent with the spaciousness of a yurt. It features durable canvas, high walls for headroom, and is built to be weatherproof!

Every tent has its own character and spot on the island:

"Pure Bliss - We absolutely loved our mini glamping adventure. The bell tents were a real treat. We couldn’t fault a single thing. Oh and the natural swimming pond was awesome. We will be back. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. "

Ash

The hot tub tent. Ash has a glowing firepit under fairy lights and a hot tub nearby – perfect for evenings with friends or family. One of two tents set across the moat.

Willow

Surrounded by Norfolk reed, the Willow bell tent feels tucked away and private, while still offering plenty of space for dining and a dedicated firepit.

oak

With a big stretch of lawn all around, Oak is the one for garden games. Out front there’s a large dining table, firepit, and views over the pond towards the kitchen.

Elm

Crossing the moat by bridge, our Elm bell tent is surrounded by tall native trees. It has a generous space for cooking and eating outdoors – ideal if you love being immersed in nature.

"Beautiful place - We came as a group of wild swimmers to stay in the BYOB tent and use the pool. Everything was perfect, so clean and quiet and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back!"

BYOB (Bring Your Own Bed)

Closest to the swimming pond, BYOB works brilliantly for groups of friends or larger families. No tent pitching needed, and loads of space outside for games or just relaxing.

The BYOB bell tent is a blank canvas for you to bring whatever you want to make it comfortable inside.

"The most idyllic place - I want to live there! The peace and happiness from the beautiful site and it is so well maintained, with amazing people on hand and everything you could ask for. Clean and comfortable bedding, hot showers..."
